Meditation for Deeper Better Sleep- 3 Unconventional Methods

Meditation for Deeper Better Sleep- 3 Unconventional Methods

I looked at the clock again. 2:16 am. I felt a pang of what seemed to be potential oncoming madness. I checked myself, made an intention to balance my emotions back out. And yet, I had been lying in bed since 10:00 pm, unable to hold still for more than 45 seconds before some indescribable feeling of intense restlessness and panic consumed me to the point that I had to move. The alternative to moving was to feel relentless, almost electric spasms of the strangest, most indescribably uncomfortable nature.

It had been 5 days now of not being able to sleep, except very intermittently during the day for a few minutes. I was on the verge of losing it. I was angry. I felt out of control. I was dreading going to work again at 6 am with zombie mind and bloodshot eyes.

For a period of several years I struggled with intense insomnia. It was both physical AND mental. And it was one of the most challenging things I’ve ever had to deal with.

So I can sympathize with those who have trouble falling asleep. I know it can be a lonely battle, and that often times it leaves one with no choice but to suck it up and move through life tired and at half their best.

In this article I want to explore the issue of not being able to sleep, and share a few fantastic tips on getting yourself to sleep again, by overcoming both physical issues AND the tendency to overthink and worry yourself wide awake.

Why can’t people sleep these days?
Research has found that more people are having trouble sleeping these days than ever before, and it’s no surprise. Life is more stressful and speedy than ever before. There are toxins in the water, air, and our food supply. There is electromagnetic chaos everywhere. There are greater and greater demands in the workforce, as business becomes more and more competitive, and information travels faster and faster. There’s a great deal of STIMULATION. So much even that the mind is hardly able to process everything.

What can we do about it?

The first step is to identify what the issue is and where it stems from. Usually it boils down to one of two things:

1. Physical Issues
2. Mental/Emotional Issues

Both have a variety of solutions that some will get benefits from and some won’t.  This can be a very individual issue, and the solution may be unique depending on one’s personal situation.

I’d like to explore 3 of the most powerful solutions to sleep issues, all of which will not only help you sleep, but will also strengthen and empower you spiritually, physically, and mentally. I’m confident that at least one of these will greatly help you or that loved one you have that is suffering from insomnia.

1. Developing a Relationship with Your Worry Angel
I never used to be the type to work with angels, or spirit guides. Not that I didn’t believe in them, but more that I tend to be more skeptical, logical, and rational than many. I had also gotten a bad taste in my mouth from a few less-than-honest “psychics” in the past.

It wasn’t until I met my friend and mentor Kate Large that I opened my mind back up to the idea, and was able to learn a powerful meditation that allowed Divinity itself to aid me in releasing my worries as I laid in bed at night so I could finally sleep peacefully and let go again.

Kate and I met on the online world, and we keep in contact helping to support each other in our endeavors. This woman is the real deal when it comes to working with angels, and the realms of those who have passed away. The first time I spoke with her on the phone I could feel her sincerity, her positive energy, and genuine empathy and love that she radiated. It was only natural that I decided to give her materials a try, and I am very glad that I did. (To learn more about Kate Large, visit

With respect to Kate and her wisdom, I will give you the link to check this practice out for yourself, rather than paraphrase it here. Loosely the practice involves meeting one of your angels, your worry angel, and working with him/her to energetically unload and transmute the worries that you are carrying.

I can promise you that this has a PROFOUND effect on how able you are to fall asleep, and stay peacefully asleep through the night. You owe it to yourself to check this out.

2. Brainwave Entrainment

Another powerful tool is brainwave entrainment. This technology became widely known mostly as a meditation tool, but it has several components to it that make it absolutely ideal as a sleeping aid. For one, it enables you to direct your brain to produce any specified and desired brainwave frequency. Because of this, it can be used to mimic the exact brainwave pattern of deep sleep, allowing you to effortlessly fall asleep.

Our Sleep Well Live Well audio has been designed to do specifically that. Click HERE to learn more about this.

But another thing that brainwave entrainment does is stimulates the brain to produce more beneficial hormones, namely serotonin, HGH, and melatonin. In fact, recent studies have found that using brainwave entrainment has the potential to increase the production of melatonin (the sleep hormone) by upwards of 300%! This works thousands of times better than taking melatonin supplements because it is being made in the body, by the body. 3. Detoxifying

One thing that many people do not realize, and that isn’t taught in mainstream health education is that toxicity and infection in the body can be a severe contributor to the inability to sleep. Our world is latent with toxins these days: heavy metals like aluminum and mercury, additives and chemicals in food, fluoride in the water, etc. The accumulation of these toxins and foreign substances in the body have the potential to create high amounts of discomfort in both the body and the mind. They can even throw off one’s hormonal balance, and contribute to severe restlessness and anxiety.

Different types of infection can do the same. One thing that helped me immensely was visiting a Morphogenic Field Therapist, who was able to both identify what my body needed, and supply me with the herbs and remedies to help the situation. Another powerful solution is to go a round of megadosing with Vitamin C to bowel tolerance. This both detoxes the body of heavy metals, AND helps to fight infection.

I sincerely hope that these tips help you get to sleep at night, and enable you to live more successfully, happily, and peacefully. I am always happy to talk more about this subject personally so don’t hesitate to shoot me an email if you have any questions. Also, if you have a loved one that is struggling with sleep, make sure to share this with them and help them out.

Be well,
